I’m a food obsessed English Literature graduate. On this blog I’ll be sharing recipes which I throw together and if successful write down, my thoughts on food waste and how to reduce it in our homes and interviews with food related charities or sustainable businesses. There with also be a few words reserved for my love of cake.

I love to travel and spent nearly five months in South America. For a lot of this journey my taste buds were resigned to hibernation due to the strange concept of mixed carbohydrates favoured in much of Bolivia and Peru. For example a typical meal (on a budget) would consist of rice, chips and a piece of sometimes dubious meat accompanied by a few vegetables masquerading as a salad. You could also rely on the chips to be pale, greasy and slightly soggy. It was advisable to mask this combination with a chilli sauce which was helpfully put on the side of every meal.

Now I am back home I’m addicted to cooking, thinking about and enjoying food!
